when looking at trends, do they consider school changes?
For example if a student has high grades in his/her freshman year at school #1, but then the grades slip at school #2, which is in the same district as, but is slightly more difficult than school #1, to lower A's for the next two years, will this decline hurt the student in the admission process?

I think you should explain this in the additional information section. That’s what it’s for anyways.

how would they know those are “lower AS”? does your transcript show %points? Anyway, I doubt that “slipping” from 98 to 93 is going to make any difference.

yea, actually, the letter grades are only used to determine gpa and class rank. our transcript only shows percentages. I was talking about slipping from high a’s to borderline 90’s…if this is not considered a declining trend, then what is?

Most transcripts show letter grades. So going from As to Bs or Cs would be declining grades. I don’t think going from “high A” to “low A” will be considered a problem…

^ agreed. I have always told my daughters that it’s mastery of the subject that is the issue, and grades are only a leading indicator. High or low As on the other hand, tend to be of interest only to the grade obsessed, and admisisons officers don’t tend to fall into that category.
