Decorating dorm room please help!

<p>Hey you guys I need help decorating my room I leave for college in less then a week exactly 6 days yet I haven't bought anything for my dorm because I haven't thought of any theme or color I should go with so i'm asking you guys for those who decorated their dorm is there any colors I should stay away from should I try the same color theme withy roommate or just go with my own how many sets do we really need and anything in general I should know about

I was told to stay away from all white bedding but decided to go with the color anyway and everything is still as new. Due to most dorm beds being twin extra long you will also likely need to find a different bedding set, some schools do send a booklet to purchase these necessities. As far as other personal items it’s hard to give a suggestions since it adds up to a lot. Many decorating tricks I noticed where posters, lamps/light, rugs, etc…</p>

<p>Go to target. Get some bedding in a color you like. Go from there.</p>

<p>I always abide by the rule of keeping it simple when it comes to decoration.</p>

<p>If you overload your dorm room with too many things, they all draw attention and your room ends up looking like a hot mess.</p>

<p>Wait until you get there to see what you need – you can always run to Target. Focus on getting a good desk lamp and bedding that will look good with the room.</p>

<p>Make your college room really personal to you. Like put up posters of your favourite bands and stuff. It can help if your far away from home and people can tell what you like from entering your dorm :)</p>
