This is really scary, I procrastinate to a point that I'm failing five out of five of my AP tests. My high school is uncompetitive so I'm not really worried about the finals but still, I went from a 4.0 student to a 3.21. This procrastination is actually a mixed of senioritis and my not-so-serious procrastination. But seriously, I have been vegetating these few weeks. I couldn't sleep properly and I feel that my life is simply insignificant. I daydream a lot in class too.
How the hell do I get out of this feeling?

Well you and I are in the same boat.

Sadly, I have no words of advice for you, just words of empathy.

How many days do you have left of school?

Eh, you need a mental boost. I procrastinate a lot too, but never to the point where I get 70 at a test.

Think about your bright future! -> Always help. Drink milk before going to bed, do detox diet to keep yourself healthy (seems completely exclusive at first but trust me this helps).

@leila: two more weeks I guess, I’m graduating on June 2nd. What about you>?
@mono: thanks :)

^I should try that too, now all I need is some damn milk. I’m gonna do that the new before the AP Exam. What’s Detox Diet?

Coffee? Get off the computer- the light and emission can warp your sleeping cycle and overall rhythm, so go to bed, or take a nap.

Drink lots of water. Stay refreshed. Listen to some Wagner.

It’s two in the morning. Unplug the computer, go to bed. Wake up, study, go to school, go home, study, sleep, go to school, so on…

Don’t plug the computer back in.

DO NOT POST PROCRASTINATION TOPICS ON THIS WEBSITE… i hate when ppl complain about that since that is procrastination in itself…just suck the *** up and get to work fkin ADD ppl

^Shut up? Lol. You type like typing tires you…

sorry, i apologize

^^^well we are all admitting that we have procrastination problems…
I mean, step 1 SHOULD be getting off the internet, but it’s not happening any time soon. (I guess that’s the problem)

But someone here must be getting something done, so why not ask for advice from people who know how to go on the internet and do well in school at the same time?

Personally, a good talk from/with a teacher motivated me to do work a little more. In fact, I think I’ll do some now.

ya, i gave my mom the laptop and told her to hide until i get my work done…it helps…or just block CC for awhile

multi-task? right now i’m also studying for APLAC tomorrow. I’ve concluded this will be an all-nighter, once you admit it, you can deal with it better. try to do something productive in addition to the usual mindless nothing.

^this.

I finished my summer reading (yeah, yeah, not real homework, whatever) one year by telling myself that I’d spend 10 minutes on the computer to 5 minutes of reading (maybe not the exact ratio) and by sticking to that, I finished way faster than if I tried to sit there and read for hours at a time.
And this was like…right before it was due.

And yes, I did have more computer time than work time, and it did help.

Detox diet is a healthy balanced (rather yucky and flavorless) diet. You basically eat more protein than carbs and fat, to keep you full and energized for a long time. Drink water and fresh juice with no sugar, not soda and coffee. As simple as that. :D
