i was w/L as well

waitlisted…

Accepted!!

Congrats @limsanity !!

waitlisted…does anyone know the amount of people on the waitlist, and the chances of acceptance from a waitlist? also if they do ranks?

@lemonypies from what I heard, the wait list is pretty large but I don’t think they do ranks.

Waitlisted.

waitlisted. it was a bummer :(

Accepted!

waitlisted

The wait list is more like a pool. They generally aren’t ranked. The wait list thread is a good one to read for more helpful information.

Congrats to those who were accepted-- and, really, good luck to those on the WL! Deerfield is a great place-- my DS has been having a great freshman year.

Accepted! Congrats to all who applied, whether you got in or not. I got waitlisted to many schools too. I hope to see some CC people on the revisit days.

Accepted! But I was previously waitlisted on March 10. Just got the email a few minutes ago! People who are waitlisted- don’t lose hope.

@M10anticipation You have got to be kidding me! :)

@stargirl3 Nope So waitlisted students, do not lose hope! You never know when you might get accepted!

@M10anticipation: Congrats! But this is very interesting. Deerfield has already moved its WL? I’m very curious what triggered the move. It’s only been 4 days since M10. What’s the email you just received like? Did they mention that you were being moved up from the WL?

@benley, I suspect an accepted student enrolled somewhere else and was kind enough to let the school know quickly

^^But that’s not how WL works, @exeterbunny. The school already offered more (sometimes significantly more) admissions than the number of open spots taking an expected yield rate into consideration. They only move to WL when they have received more declines than they expected.

Oh you’re right Benley, thanks for pointing that out. Well now I’m stumped as well.
