Hi,
I am an 8th grader who is going to apply to boarding schools. I play tennis (sectionally ranked at 18) and play the trumpet in a band. I also speak chinese pretty well. I will not be applying for financial aid. My grades (7th grade) were mostly A's except for a B in Algebra I.
In 8th grade i have received all A's. I would look to be applying at Lawernceville School, Deerfield Academy, Andover, Exeter, or any other you guys have in mind. Please respond with real answers and thank you so much.

Do you think you’re good enough at tennis to be recruited? Athletics are huge at boarding schools, and being “sectionally ranked” (whatever that means) might help a bunch.

I agree with MBVLoveless! Not many people realize this, but when applying to boarding schools like the ones you just mentioned, sports are more important than academics. I think to have a better chance you would need more extracurriculars (particularly sports). You’ve got grades are good though, so that’s a plus, but I don’t think you will stand out enough in a sea of talented applicants. I wish you the best of luck, though! I have hope you could possibly get into one of the HADES + Choate schools.

Have you taken the SSAT?
