Just got back from the mailbox. I have been forbidden by my son to open any emails, mail or access any websites while he is in school...but an overnight priority envelope was in the mailbox and the address label says "Congratulations!"....

bostonpapa - an acceptance is great anyway it was received. Congrats to your daughter!

My guess is we live a little further away where next day delivery vs. snail mail wouldn’t be guaranteed? I think all schools want you to receive acceptances on 3/10 before you have a chance to fall in love with another school that “accepted you first”.

Your child received offers today from DA, SPS and PEA? If so, congratulations!!

So, what’s the secret, doschicos? My nephew was accepted at PEA and, by word of the mighty grapevine, it looks like he will also get into two other HADES schools. But I know his secret: He applied for a PG spot, he stands 6’3", 275 , he had a perfect 800 on his SAT II Math and he is a D1 college football prospect. What is your child’s winning formula, if you don’t mind sharing?

Thanks, toombs. That is correct - 3 for 3 with a couple to go. Have to wait until the boy gets home to check.

He has many hooks which I would rather not post here in detail for confidentiality reasons, but great student, leader, athlete and accomplished in the performing arts as well. He’s also confident in a laid-back way so does well with adults.

He’s had this as his goal for many years and we feel lucky to have so many great options.

Anonymousfriends, as far as I know, only Exeter & Choate offer on-line decisions. Choate’s is through their GoChoate! site, and Exeter’s is through parent’s email.

As I recall the DA drill last year, you were SOL if you didn’t get a big fat package by express mail on March 10. Last year, DA didn’t have online info on admits. Sounds like DA is holding firm to that tradition this year. (They like tradition up there, don’t you know.)

Got my “big fat package” hehe.
So happy about it too! Deerfield was one of my top top choices. The congrats on the address sticker killed the surprise though. Also, this is strange, but they sent a nifty little pin out…

If they send Fedex next day delivery for acceptance, you should receive them today no matter where you live in the states. We also live in California and haven’t received anything from Fedex. Deerfield sent through USPS priority mail, which means you could receive tomorrow (3 days coast to coast).
