I was accepted into Deerfield and Lawrenceville today.
I am a lacrosse player and both schools have great programs.
I know its early, but any input/advice? Thanks

This is the most appropriate conflicted decision with which I have encountered recently. Both schools are elite in academics and athletics. You cannot make an incorrect choice. You are very lucky to be in this situation.

Thanks icy9ff8

I'm glad I have a few weeks to think about it.

Congrats! Which is closer to home?

Lawrencville is about an hour away and Deerfield is about four.

well, closeby is nice so you can see family more and they can come see your games.

Deerfield is one of my favs, however!

Hmmm... That is a toughie. Deerfield is a beautiful school, as is Lawrenceville, but what school appealed to you most? Think about the pros and cons of both of the schools, and hopefully you will choose the one that is right for you! I wish I could be more of a help though, but good luck!

Does your family come to all of your games? One hour makes it easy, but four is impossible on Wednesdays!

But, it's Deerfield! It would be an easy choice for me!

How do the number of students compare? A smaller student body might make it easier to make varsity.

My advice is to go to both revisit days. Meet the kids (I know Deerfield very well, and I suspect they will have you shadow a Lax player, who will introduce you to others on the team- as Lawrenceville should too). Ask yourself at which school do you feel more at home. I know many Lax players have done very well with college admissions out of Deerfield, as I am sure Lawrenceville has too. Both have great traditions and great academics- but the most important criteria is a good fit, and which will work best for you. You'll know which is right for you.

If you are an incoming freshmen, then I hope you'd take Lawrenceville's offer and free up some space for us wailisted applicants at Deerfield. ;)

If you need FA, you could go to the school that offers more. I'm sure your parents will appreciate that. lol.

Congratulations by the way!
