Has anyone else on the waitlist received a letter from Deerfield about the waitlist within the past few days?

I did, it said that Deerfield was fully enrolled for the fall, and asked if I wanted to stay on the waitlist on the very rare off-chance that someone decides to withdraw their admission in the summer.

I did as well. It said exactly what ballerina22 had said.

What will you do? Are you staying on the Wait List, or are you removing yourself?

i did too but i haven’t replied yet

I’m staying on the wait list It’s all I really can do…

^^ same with me. I can hope for the best, but I am ready and excited to apply again next year!

Did your letter state that it is unlikely that they will make any decisions before the middle of May?

@highschoolbound:yes

Just spoke to an admissions officer and… Deerfield is over-enrolled!! D:

Hi! Just wondering if there’s any news/movement on the wait list? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks! Don’t lose hope. Best wishes to all of you!

@sparklefun - deerfield isn’t over enrolled entirely. when a school says it is over enrolled it means for that specific grade and gender (eg. sophomore boys or freshman girls).
i just felt i should clarify this so that applicants don’t think that there are 100s of extra kids on campus in all grades. they also may only be over enrolled by 1 or 2 students.

I just got a letter from them telling me that they would not be able to offer me a spot for the 2012-2013 school year. The wait list is still open, but they took me off of it apparently.

@Hellolove: What did you apply for: Grade and gender?
