Deerfield/waitlist

Has Deerfield communicated with anyone regarding waitlist?

See this thread:

There is a poster that says Deerfield is overenrolled and will not be going to their waitlist.

My S is on the waitlist at Deerfield. I called today for info but had to leave a message, so far no return call. When I hear something I will post their response.

i didn’t hear anything from the waitlist yet either

I was waitlisted last year at Deerfield, which was frustrating. On the other hand, I got accepted to Taft, so its really a game of chance with such low acceptance rates.

My friends D was accepted for grade 9 and has another kid already there. Says 9th grade is overenrolled and they are trying to figure out how to reconfigure beds to accommodate. Based on this info, WL is unlikely for grade 9 at Deerfield

Too bad, my son will just have to suffer through 9th grade at St. Pauls!!
Ha! Deerfield’s loss.@!

We just got an email from Deerfield. They are overenrolled and are not currently going to the waitlist for 9th grade.

Of course they also say you can stay on the list through August as something may change. One never knows!

We haven’t received that Email yet.<<FP think it makes a difference?

Deerfield took a couple of kids off the waitlist a few days before the deadline. I assume so they would not commit to anyone else.
