Deerfield

I have been researching different schools to apply to, and I notice that a lot of people are going to Deerfield. I am looking at different helpful sites, but if you go to or will be going to, could you tell me the reason for choosing Deerfield?

It’s the most awesomest school where you can have the coolest friends, learn in a supportive environment without the competition you would find at Andover or the stress at Exeter, you can look to the hills for inspiration when you need it, and last but not least you get a single room and great food.

The video is what sold me completely on DA. Since I watched it it had always been my number one!
Well for starters Deerfield just has a “home” feeling to it. From the sitdown meals to the wonderful brick buildings…it is truly amazing. The scenery is beautiful. The Koch center is pretty cool too. Oh! And if you get accepted you get green and white M&Ms.
Doesn’t get much better than Deerfield. I can’t wait to be a freshmen!

My interviewer came to my school and I had my interview and the video is definitely what solidified that Deerfield was the best place for me. Like deerbri said, you get feeling that you’re at home. The campus is gorgeous and the people are so friendly. I was really enamored with what I saw.

You don’t get the competition that you get at Andover or Exeter? Really? How can you possibly make a claim like that. You probably have just as much competition. But other than that, I really agree with you about Deerfield. After I watched the admissions video, I would have loved to apply. Unfortunately, my mom said that she didn’t want me to go to a school north of Connecticut. Oh well.

The video was just wonderful, from this mom’s viewpoint. From the time we hit campus, the students sold me!!! We met the most wonderfully happy, well adjusted and just nice students, faculty, and support staff.

My d met some of the kids from the video and said that they are even better in person. The academics challenged my d, the first time since 3rd grade, and she loves it.

As a parent of a kid who just completed her first year, new sophomore, the school exceeded our wildest expectations. From the single rooms and her proctors to the small class sizes and the commitment of the faculty, my d fit in right from the beginning!
