Deerfield

And in exactly which public schools can you receive the same education as Deerfield? This is just silly.

@GMT: They are all the same - ELITIST PRIVATE SCHOOLS.
@Daykidmom: Is it worth $200K (and you don’t even get to go to an Ivy league school)? Warren Buffet didn’t go to an elite boarding school did he? What can you learn in Deerfield that you can’t from your local public school? Writing?

If u have a high quality public school locally, that’s great…

What? Benley is now sounding exactly like pwalsh. I’m so confused. What happened to Benley? Will the real Benley please post?

LOL, Choatiemom! Sorry I might’ve taken it too far. I hope pwalsh could see how ridiculous this is when he hears his exact words from a different postion he usually takes, but maybe not. Anyway, I’ll stop here.

Oh, thank heaven. That’s what I thought you were doing in post 19, but when you came back at GMT and Daykidmom, I got worried. Can resume my normal life now. Phew.

Why respond to pwalsh anyway? If he/she is contributing in a positive way to a thread then, by all means, correspond. However, if pwalsh’s obvious intent is to stir the pot, then why acknowledge the post… Such an obvious attempt at getting attention surely deserves to receive none. But I digress.

So the short essay question for Deerfield this year is:

What is the most important piece of advice you have ever received and what role does it play in your life? Please limit your answer to 1600 characters (about 300 words).

I literally have no idea what to write, mainly because I can’t think of any important pieces of advice that will make me POP OUT. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!!

I suggest answering the question honestly. Don’t try to find or fabricate an answer that will make you “POP OUT.” Answer it truthfully. The sincerity in your answer will be what pops out.
