<p>Were you accepted? Usually colleges defer a student and postpone a decision, but I’m not familiar with an applicant deferring a college. I’m just trying to understand your question.</p>

<p>He is asking if he can defer his admissions to a later start time. I usually hear people ask about deferments in references to starting grad school.</p>

<p>Yes, people were deferred this year. We know of two from our school. Their apps were on time and all info. was in. They were told that there will be a decision in March for them.</p>

<p>Yes, if accepted there are situations where UF allows you to postpone matriculation. Call admissions or the registrar.</p>
