<p>snickerz i was deferred as well..sucks right... i feel like if they defer u its cuz they want to put u in CGS is that true, because a lot of ppl do ED because they are have lower stats so now they are just putting us up against the people that apply to BU as a safety? if any1 has any info i'd love to know...thanks</p>
<p>damn it i got deferred too. do they even do rejection? cuz i dunno what to feel rite now. Is getting deferred another name for rejection except they dont want to jus KILL you yet....they want you to wait till april 15 , den SNIP your heart out. sigh.</p>

i looked in your chances posts and we all ahve SOMEwhat similar test scores.

<p>yeah, esp cause i applied to COM which is really hard, is there any way we can make it known to BU that we want to be put in CGS if we don't get into the other colleges like COM and CAS that we all applied to... also im pretty sure they do reject people they just might not post it u know...where else did u guys apply</p>

<p>You get deferred because based on your stats they're not sure if they could accept someone with higher stats during regular decision. If they get to regular decision and your stats arn't too bad comparitively, then you'll get accepted. Also, don't think you're competing directly with people using BU as a safety. BU is fully aware of the stats that can get people into other schools, and I'm fairly sure accepts a lot of people knowing they are using it as a safety and count it less towards the estimated people who will attend.</p>

<p>I was suprised I didnt get in, my GPA is a bit low (3.0/3.3) but my SATs were in the median 50%...</p>
