Deferral Admittance Rate

Does ANYBODY know what the percentage is for people who were deferred ED1 then admitted RD, please let me know bc i <3 Wash U and want to hold on to the dream

as a common rule of thumb any deferred student at any school stands an equal chance of admittance as a normal RD applicant. Your application will be completely re-evaluated so it's not like you've been deferred just because they want to be nice, they think your application actually has a chance in the RD pool. Submit another rec, if your doing well in school, submit your senior grades, anything that might help you... SHOW you want to be there.

I was told that applying EDI and getting deferred gives you an advantage as long as you keep interest strong

I'm sure that's true to some degree, but on the other hand, I know that of most of the people that have been deferred from colleges that I know of, 7 out of 8 were rejected in the end from their ED college- this isn't to dishearten, they probably didn't send in more stuff to show that they wanted to be there (most likely didn't even know they should have!).... so just send an updated transcript as well as maybe another rec. Good luck.
