I haven’t gotten my decision yet but from the deferral letters I have read, they emphasized alot on the midyear report. How important is that? What do they want to see? That you are taking hard classes and getting straight A’s? How many B’s can u get and not have it hurt your chances?

bump bump bump

The midyear report is very important and may the verything that carries to the admit pile in the RD process.

If you have been deferred, fear not. COntinue to work hard, if you thing you need to raise your SAT, do that, get additional recs, maybe do another essay. Above all keep doing things that shows the school that they are still your first choice

Midyear report is very important, and may convince the adcom to let you in the regular round if you display remarked improvement or maintain a strong academic record.

shoot....I messed up my 1st quarter grades because I was stressing over too much with my ED school....................................................

would getting a B or two have negative or neutral effects?

yeah....i have the same question, my first semester grades arent up to par, i have 2 Bs and 5 As. my GPA is a 3.8uw, so i think itll drop how much will this hurt at schools like amherst, pomona, rice, dartmouth, chicago...etc?

mine wont affect my other all GPA because my school is year-round, would B's have a major impact?
