Deferral came along with a prospectus, what's up with that?

i got my deferrall a while ago, but i never posted this oddity. i received my notice with a few brochures from the school. Anyone have any idea as to what's up with this?

I wouldn't worry about it too much. My next door neighbor and best friend (we were both accepted to the College) received 7 applications even though her entire app was already in. So, basically, there's no telling what it means, but I really wouldn't stress about it.

colgate sent me like three apps, even after i'd submitted. weird.

I got a Georgetown app after I'd already applied too. It was probably just a slip, or maybe it's a sign they're interested. (if you don't know, this is netshark w/ a different name...for some reason they're not letting me post under my old name.)

yeah, i also got a gtown app after i applied...i remember cos i was like...oh it's a big packet and I was all confused. But then it was just another app. shrug.

Yeah- I just got an application, and I was like, "umm... I really won't be needing this now."

I think it's a back order, if you requested an app from a while ago and they're just now sent out in a second wave.

dan-- use it for paper airplanes?

Hmmm... maybe I will!

do you think this says something about a bad administration? If they can't handle the mail, can they handle applications and professors?

Not so much. I've gotten 5 applications randomly from Harvard, and brown and columbia both sent me viewbooks after I applied...so really, I think its kind of a universal thing with colleges. My favorite is when you get applications after the application due date.

yeah, it just means that there are probably two departments in the mailing system that aren't always aware of who's submitted and who's still in need of an app.

My favorite is when you get mail after you're already in college. My brother started college as a freshman this year, and he still gets mail from a bunch of places with info like, "Important information for beginning your college search!" or "As you begin your junior year, you're probably beginning to think about colleges. . . " It's crazy.
