I was thinking why I was deferred. Is it possible a college defers decisions for financial aid reasons and nothing more? (Even though they claim to be "need-blind"?)

i am international......
i think i got deferred due to aid....
though i showed much need...

no. financial aid office and undergrad admissions are completely different and when i called the undergrad asking something about finan aid stuff they had to give me the financial office number because they had no idea what was goin on there. i was accepted with financial aid. if theyre giving out scholarships to "scholars" and such i dont think theyre that uptight with money. if someone were a qualified candidate they would not be rejected or deferred solely based on need of financial aid.

They're not gonna defer you solely based on financial aid...but they do know if you need aid or do not need aid...so, if somebody has similar stats and if you need aid and the other person doesn't, then I think it is possible that they defer you and accept the other person..

The Finaid office and the Admissions office are separate. Remember, the policy is need-blind...

Let me just say this, I received AID...Actually, A LOT of aid.

Please trust me and CU when I say this: Fin-Aid have nothing to do with admissions.
