Are the chances of getting accepted, come regular decision notification time, for me higher if I was deferred? I've heard only 130 were accepted, 30 deferred, and the rest rejected for ED2, so does that put me in a good place to get in regular since I was deferred?

I am in the same boat and I’m also wondering how being deferred will affect me in the regular applicant pool.

To add to your question, does anyone know if it is particularly harmful or beneficial to send additional information (like a new recommendation or award) after deferral?

lizzybee and est, were you waitlisted or deferred? (did they tell you they would get back to you in late March / early April or in May?)

I was deferred.

that’s bizarre! I was waitlisted, and I can’t find any statistics about people who were directly sent to the waitlist from EDII.

Good luck in the RD pool!
