As a deferred Yale candidate, I am curious as to what some of the tricks are for snagging that acceptance come April.

Can anyone with experience offer their stories, insight, or advice on reversing a deferral?

Thanks!

Crunchielee, statistically it generally is not so good from what I could see. However, I did work with a young lady a few years ago who did get into Duke from a deferral. She did extraordinarily well her first term senior year, and sent a letter regarding her current activities. She visited the adcoms in late February, and her counselor also wrote a wonderful letter on her behalf, particularly highlighting how she was NOT resting on her laurels senior year and cruising as some Duke acceptees from her school were.
