I got deferred from Tulane EA this admissions cycle. I never showed a lot of interest for the school, but I never considered it a safety either, and I would seriously consider going. Unfortunately, I got deferred. I’m not sure if this is because of low interest or if there was some other reason. Though, I definitely think I was competitive.
I want to email my adcom a letter expressing continued interest. Is it ok if this letter is long, since I want to elaborate more on my interest with the school, or should I just keep it short?
@4gsmom its not 100% and depends on my financial package. Tbh, Rice is still my number 1 school, but I might not be able to afford it. If Tulane could give me some sort of merit scholarship — I did the Paul Tulane — I could see myself attending
Include new information in your LOCI - any new awards or recognitions, and have your GC send midterm grades. IMO, I would keep it short, especially if it isn’t your first choice school.
