It depends on what you want to study, CB, but try Grand Valley and Michigan State as comparative safeties. Know lots of kids happy at both. And Michigan State has a generous tuition program for those with the greatest need. Way more than need nets you at U of M. Tuition at Grand Valley is very reasonable as well, and for admission rigor, it’s neck and neck with MSU. Both are well regarded regionally, and both would offer a sufficient transfer platform should you not end up at U of Mich as a freshman but want to continue trying.

I see, though there are no other in-state schools I’m considering.</p>
