<p>well at my school no one was accepted all deferred (from what I know). They had a really wide range of stats though so who knows. I think the ivies versus say MIT just defer more. I guess time will tell. I know it said earlier no "sympathy no's" but I'm starting to wonder if maybe they do this. :p</p>
<p>Apparently (and this confirmed by two people who heard it at brown information sessions on two different occasions... haha can you tell im on newspaper?) Brown SAYS that they basically deferr everyone (almost) from competitive schools from which they normally get a lot of very qualified applicants. that has proven true for my school in the last couple years, too.</p>
