I applied on January 4th as a transfer with my AA since I will be receiving my AA at the end of this semester. My application status was just updated to say that my application has been deferred until I provide a final transcript with my AA. Does this mean that I could still possibly be rejected after sending in my AA or does it mean that I'll be accepted after my AA? I'm thinking the first but I've received two different answers from UCF staff.

I was in your position last Spring and once I sent my official transcript stating that I received my AA, I got my acceptance about a week later. Your AA is, in my opinion, like a safety net because once you receive that degree, you can transfer to any University in Florida of your choice. I have not heard of any stories about rejection after sending an official transcript with an Associates degree listed, so I would not worry much about that.

Good luck
