<p>I just got a letter today saying that although i did not get into the school for the fall of 09, i received guaranteed admission to either the spring 2010 or fall 2010 semester (if i accept it before June 22, 2009). I didn't expect to be accepted or even put on waitlist, but this is a nice offer. I'm attending another SUNY (buffalo) for fall 09, and I'm wondering if its possible to accept the guaranteed admission offer for geneseo fall 2010, but have the opportunity to decline it when they send me the acceptance in March of next year. I liked geneseo, but in case i end up loving buffalo, I want to make sure I can stay there instead of going to transferring to geneseo.</p>
<p>You can accept the deferred admission, and if it turns out that you don’t want it, you just decline when you get the follow up/deposit info closer to the term you are deferring to.</p>
