Deferred and questioning

I was accepted at my tied first choice school, Beloit, and deferred at my other tied first choice school, UChicago. For my other top choices, Kenyon and Oberlin, I won't hear from until April 1st, along with UChicago. What should I do? I want to make a decision!

LOL don’t be hasty! Wait until everything comes out.
I know it’s a hard wait, but be happy that you’ve already been accepted to one!
Good luck ;D

I agree with the above poster. Don’t be hasty. If you got deferred that means they didn’t want to make a decision which is a good thing because it means you have a plausible chance for RD. Keep your options open. Good luck!

Well if they’re really tired for first, what is going to lead you to decide?
I mean if you’re comfortable going to Beloit even if you get accepted to UChicago in April… then by all means go ahead. If not then it’s best to just wait…

It’s so unlikely to get into Chicago if you get deferred…
I’m deferred too, but they defer like 65% of people who apply EA

I like Beloit because it’s small and because of their known anthro program, and the kids are down-to-earth and friendly. At UChicago, it’s larger and the kids are very classy (think Eastern prep), but they also have a very “good” anthro program. I like them both for different reasons. Being classy isn’t bad, but I just don’t know if it’s “me.”

I stayed the night with a gal there and in their dining hall, and the girls that I saw wore heels, scarves, nice coats, etc. It’s not bad, it’s just that the cultures of the schools are so different. I don’t shop at J. Crew or whatever that store is lol. I don’t look like I came out of a magazine haha. The girl I stayed with went to a prep school and was very wealthy. Her roomate was from Princeton NJ and was Ivy material. They’re just so different. At Beloit, guys were wearing PJs in the library. :)
