<p>Sometimes maybe, and sometimes no. I know that’s a frustratingly vague answer, but it depends a lot on the college or university in question. </p>
<p>And even then, an answer that was accurate for the whole population probably isn’t really what you care about, right? What your really care about is what’s going to happen to your application. So if only 15% of deferred applicants are accepted, but you’re one of them, you’ll be happy. Or of 85% of deferred applicants are accepted, but you’re not one of them, you’ll be disappointed. Am I right?</p>
<p>I know this waiting is absolutely crazy-making, but I really don’t think there’s any kind of omen hidden in a deferral. Sorry.</p>
