<p>Think seriously about how much you wish to attend that school – Are you willing to take a gap semester or gap year? Do you need financial aid? Have you earned any recent awards?</p>
<p>Stay in contact with your admissions rep. Let the rep know answers to the above.</p>
<p>My son was deferred from a top choice. They informed him only 25% of deferred are usually accepted. He was also told those willing to gap a semester or a year have a better shot.</p>
