Deferred Applicants....

Those of you who were deferred, did you sent in anything to the admissions office to update your application. If so, what?

Yes. Recent SAT scores (improved by 100 pts and 60 M+V) and another recommendation (should be the best of all three).

What about you, worldshopper?

I updated them on a couple of things I have done since submitting my application, explained why I did not take the ACT as planned and also why I couldn't sit for the SAT test in January and attempt to raise my scores. Lastly, told them how much I enjoyed my interview. The updates were 2 pages long -- probably spelled out total desperation! Getting accepted is a long-shot anyway, so I have nothing to lose.

btw hairypotty -- that's great news about your improved SAT scores! I bet that will help a lot!

Do deferred applicants have better chance at Princeton?

I don't think so and if we do, it is only marginal.

I THINK we have a slightly better chance of getting in regular than the average regular applicant if we strengthen our applications (and not do nothing). The reason is that we show the interest in Princeton by applying ED.

I would like to believe so.

i applied rd, but with my midyear report i sent in a video of stuff i have made and i also sent in an additional recommendation - the best one so far , i think

I did a lot of things including raising my math SAT score to 800. By the way, I wonder how many hours of community service have you had.

I may be too late, but I am planning on mailing a couple of writing samples today/tomorrow.
