Did anyone get in yet after being deferred?

i dont think we'll find out for a little longer..

they recommended sending in second marking period grades- i know for my school that doesnt come out for another 2 weeks

i don't think i'm going to send mine in. they're not bad or anything .... i just don't think i want to.

My school doesn't give me an option for sending in mid year reports...

why wouldnt you send them? that means that they are going to think you dont care about getting in, that you are using them as a safety school. by sending them you are showing them that you really do want to be accepted.

because i got a 75 on my spanish midterm and all of the grades i sent them from last year and first marking period were As and Bs so i dont want them to see me getting lower than that...

You might as well send a midyear report if Northeastern suggests it. Not sending one in may lead them to assume that you're grades have significantly declined.

thank you for your suggestions, QNYergrl and hybriddaisy, but i'm pretty sure i know what i'm doing and didn't ask for your opinions.

i think that if you get accepted at the end of the year if you are going there then you need to send them a final transcript anyway, so midyear/shmidyear, hopefully i am wrong, please correct me if i am, but i am pretty sure i read that somewhere,,, but just do whatever you want that you feel will give you an edge to the people evaluating or re-evaluating your application, i also read somwhere on here that some deferred people send letters expressing their interests in NU, maybe that will give an edge compared to a midyear? also if they see your schedule then maybe that explains for lower grades then it can help show that you are not a total slacker senior year which can always be a good thing, so good luck everyone still waiting =]

haha, ok.

just keep us updated and let us know when you find out!

yeah, but if i get accepted i doubt they'll revoke my acceptance because of a C in one of my midterm grades. but i've had my employer write a letter to northeastern, as well as my TV teacher acknowledging my acceptance into an exclusive internship at the CBS news station in philadelphia that only one senior from my school can get, as well as my english teacher (who wrote my initial teacher rec) writing to the admissions officer about my EXTREME desire to go to neu.

if that isnt good enough then i really dont have any other suggestions.

no, i dont think they will even consider revoking your acceptance because of a C.

i was just saying that sending midgrades will increase your chances because it shows you are determined to get in, and you are doing everything you can.

not sending them wont hurt you, but it wont help you. but if you are afraid of sending them your c midterm because you think it would hurt you, then i wouldnt send my midterm grades.

when do us deferred applicants find out anyway?

March to April I think..
