<p>I recently got deferred from Duke early decision and from what I've heard, UNC is harder for OOS students to get into than Duke. Does anyone get deferred from Duke but then get into UNC? Would it be a huge longshot?</p>
<p>You never really know, it just depends on so many impossible-to-control variables. So sure you could get into UNC out of state after being deferred by Duke.</p>
<p>I don't want to get your hopes up (or down), but last year UNC sent out likely letters around this time. I got mine on Dec. 24, I think. Anyway, I don't think it's a long shot. After all, you weren't rejected, and many deferrees get accepted. :)</p>
