Also, I sent an interest letter to my territory counselor recently and she responded saying that my continued interest will be noted on my application.

You probably got rejected because of financial aid. Michigan is need aware for out of state students. Even if you got in, you likely would not get any financial aid and wouldn’t be able to go.

I thought Michigan is need blind? With a 0 EFC on their net pride calculator, I would only have to take 5,500 out in loans? @CaliCash‌

They are need blind for instate students.

Michigan’s FA is need blind. However, Michigan only guarantees to meet demonstrated need of in state applicants.

I think that you have a good chance regardless of financial aid. If they accept you, they would want you to attend and increase yield so they’d give you decent FA. If they don’t, you can always appeal  Good luck! Chance back? <a href=“Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums”>Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums; :)

I will be filing my FAFSA on New Years Day, so I’ll be first in line to receive financial aid assistance.
