Deferred by NC State--help

I was recently deferred from NC State University until final review until March. I have already spoken to an admissions counselor on my tour at NC State and expressed my interest in attending the University. I have also emailed the office of undergraduate admissions at NC State, providing them with info on what I have done first semester (awards and honors). Is there anything else I could do to increase my chances of getting accepted at the end of March? My first choice major was life sciences with a biology intent. I don’t want to continue sending emails to the admissions office because that would be annoying, but I do want them to know that it is my top choice.

SAT: 1240 (new)
GPA: W 4.833
NHS, Spanish Honors Society, good amount of volunteer service including senior project and various community service activities through clubs. Tri-M Music Honors Society, Secretary of the band. I have auditioned for and made several honor bands throughout high school-All-District Band (10, 11, 12) and All-State Band (10). I also took an intensive Spanish course in Costa Rica for a month which I tried to highlight on my application. I made all A’s during first semester of senior year with a fairly strong course load-Spanish 5, AP Lit, band, and AP Statistics. I have made 3 B’s throughout high school. I have taken 6 AP’s. (AP Environmental Science, AP US History, AP Chemistry, AP English, AP Stats, AP Spanish)

Should I change my major from bio to undecided? The admissions counselor I spoke to said it was a competitive major this year.

I think you look good. What is your second choice major? Good luck!

My second choice major is Spanish. I was thinking about changing my first choice to undecided to make it less competitive. (Keeping second choice as Spanish though) thank you!

How is it your gpa is so high, but your test scores reflect so poorly?

But anyways, your GPA blows me away! I wish you the best of luck!

I am terrible at standardized testing lol. Maybe I should tell them that? But thanks haha
