I applied EA for Fall 2015, and got deferred. My stats are:
2270 SAT, 1510 CR + M
Lots of leadership and extracurricular activities and awards such as President’s Volunteer Award, Proclamation from General Assembly, etc.
I believe the knock on my application was my GPA as i was a 3.76 cumulative from 9-11 grade. However, my mid-year report is a 3.97 UW.
Do you believe that with this mid-year report, I will have a higher chance of being accepted?
You just listed a four-hour test’s score as your stats. There is so much more to an application than that. No one can judge an applicant by four digits.
You make no mention of strength of program. Even with that info, no one here can really make educated guess about your application file (even me). There’s a reason gather documents from you, your counselor, and your teachers to make an admission decision. That’s what we need in our process to arrive at a final decision.
Have you read my blog? I write a lot about what we consider when we read files and what deferral means. It might help!
