Odd… her stats are a little higher than mine, and I got accepted at GaTech and deferred at MIT. Her wGPA does seem a little low. What is her uw and rank?

Her school doesnt rank. Also, she got selected into the INTEL 2013 as ‘entrant’. Informing this to the university will enhance her chance of acceptance.?
She got rejected from MIT and Johns Hopkins on EA / ED respectively If she gets into the INTEL 2013 semifinalists or finalists ( just a thinking…would be great if she is lucky enough), can we make a representation to the MIT / Johns Hopkinsdean to reconsider her application…?

Is she attending a rigorous and competitive college prep school(which may explain the lack of ranking and low weighted)? A weighted of 3.75 is somewhat low compared to the 4.1s, 4.2s, and 4.3s that kids often get at public schools. Your D’s story may seem to be somewhat akin to a friend’s. He’s at NCSSM, and despite having higher SATs than I, he got deferred. Good luck, though.
