well i got deferred what are my chances ? :(

stats please

SAT : 1690

Rank : top 10 % ::4/63

LOTS OF EC’s

really to the point :D

you are out of state right? u got a pretty good shot.

yep… thank you SO MUCH

how many people get deferred ? does anyone know the stats ?
ty

I was deferred…and I’m actually pretty sure I’m going to be declined…

W GPA: 3.1
-3.7 last semester with two AP classes but a C in math prevented the 4.0
Awful 25 ACT
-Retook it in Feb and got another 25…telling them prior to the result that I was likely to “increase”

Basically screwed…University of Iowa anyone?

ahhh my only hope now is that ill be accepted since im OOS

D was deferred…3.7 GPA UW…SAT 1200…OOS
When should we start getting decisions…Good luck Gaura and Fresh

^ That’s strange that your daughter got deferred with a 3.7 and 1200 (writing section exempted). She should have gotten in.

Thanks Leila…actually she got a 1190 SAT…but math was 710 and reading was 480 (which is what probably hurt her). The waiting is the hardest part!!!

Really, a 3.7 GPA and deferred? That doesn’t seem right at all. Have you called admissions to double check they didn’t make a mistake?

Tulare, yes i spoke to admissions. They said that GPA was good, but they would like to see the SAT higher. We sent her first semester grade (which also was a 3.7) so we will sit on pins and needles until we hear their decision.

what exactly is the difference between a weighted and unweighted gpa in the USA ? and what is supposedly a “good” G.P.A ?

ty

That’s really strange. What major are you applying to? I got in with a 3.3 weighted, 3.0 unweighted, 31 ACT. But I applied to Economics. I think that’s in the liberal arts school?
