Deferred Early Action

<p>I was deferred early action and wondering if anybody had any idea of what my chances are when they take another look at my application in April after getting my mid-year grades. UConn is my number one school and i would do anything to go there. Does anybody have any ideas of anything more i can do before they look at my app? </p>

GPA- 3.1UW 3.5W</p>

<p>SAT- 1670/2400
1140/1600</p>

<p>Extracurricular Activities
-Habitat for Humanity Club: Grades 10,11,12
-Future Business Leaders of America Club: Grades 11,12
-Youth and Government Club: Grades 11,12 </p>

<p>Work Experience
-Camp Counsler: 3 years
-After School Aid: 3 years
-Supervisor Youth Basketball-3 years</p>

<p>Sports
N/A-Got hurt which was explained in my essay and recommendations </p>

<p>Two good letter of recommendations from a Spanish and English
An outstanding essay about being an only child </p>

<p>Any help would be greatly appreciated :]</p>

<p>If I were you, I would send a letter to the admissions office reaffirming your interest in UConn. Hopefully you meant 3.3, unweighted. Other than that, there isn’t much you can do but wait for the admissions cycle to end.</p>

<p>Yes it would be 3.3 UW. Also, do you thinking sending another letter of recommendation alongside new SAT scores would be useful if so should the recommendation be from another teacher or a boss of mine or someone similar?</p>

<p>Another recommendation won’t be useful in this case. I would just send a letter from yourself.</p>

<p>Yeah, I’m about the same as you, I got deferred (to the communications program) with these stats:</p>

<p>I was deferred EA too! I’m OOS going in for regional tuition for physiology and neurobiology premed.</p>

<p>The day they send the acceptance letter will be the day I stop the mail truck and send off my deposit! Nerveracking!!!</p>
