Deferred Early Decision from Wake Forest, what are my chances of getting in regular decision?

Stats:
GPA- unweighted: 3.59/weighted: 3.91
ACT- composite: 29, english: 35, reading: 33, science: 24, math: 24
I’ve taken 5 APs and 7 honors courses (this includes senior year), & the rest just college prep but my school is known for the rigor and challenge of all the courses.

I am very involved with my community. I get 120 community service hours alone coaching for Girls on the Run. I am also a youth ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I am active in the Special Olympics. I am a member of the National Honor Society. I studied abroad in Rome. & even more.

My personal interview went very well and I had excellent essays, but I got deferred. What are my chances of getting in regular decision?

Looking at their common data set, their 25th%tile ACT is 28, which means you are only 1 point higher than the bottom 25% percent, and I can’t say that is competitive. Also according to the CDS, they only pay attention to the composite, which gives you an advantage (or disadvantage, depends on how you see it). 77% of the students are also top 10% of their class. Numbers are numbers, they are extremely reliable.
Your ECs are pretty good, combined with good essays and interviews, so I’d say you have a fair chance. Your biggest problems are probably your test scores and GPA. But well, nothing is certain so I suggest you to start writing essays for other schools. I do hope you can get in though.
BTW, I never knew ED results came out so early. Since it’s still early in October and you are deferred, can’t you technically apply to another school early?

Thank you for the feedback! and yes I applied September 1st and the letter was dated September 30th. And yes my early decision agreement is now released, so i can apply ED somewhere else.

I know this post was almost a year ago, but was curious if you were accepted RD to Wake after being defended and if not where did you end up going?

*Deferred
