Deferred EAs: Waiting for our 3½-month late decisions

In November and December, I received a few more academic honors, but didn't notify Yale because I figured that it was too late for my EA decision. But after I was deferred, I e-mailed them and added that stuff in.

The day after I was deferred, I emailed the admissions representative for my region asking if there was any particular part of my application that I needed to patch that would aid my chances of being accepted RD. He responded that he was unable to comment on any specifics regarding my application; however he added that if I felt any additional information, such as an extra recommendation, would be helpful, I should feel free to send it along with my mid-year report. I had an old teacher/mock trial coach draft up a letter for me, and I hope that it might barely tip the scale in my favor. *fingers crossed...

I got deferred EA, but Yale is still my #1 choice. I sent in an update/confirming interest letter in mid January. Hope it helps...
