does anyone know what % of early decision applicants are deferred? how likely is it likely to get deferred? and what percent of ED deferred students are ultimately accepted?

Sorry, I also have a question. If an applicant is referred ED, so they get scared and apply to other colleges, and let's say they get into BC, and Tufts also decides to acccept them, is the applicant stuck under the ED decision?

No, Tuftsplease. If you are deferred ED, you are released from your ED commitment.

Thanks, sorry about hijacking your post.

lol you are funny tuftsplease, does that mean if you dont get accepted anywhere else you dont attend college that yeaR?

Oh lol, sorry I worded it wrong.
Don't know how to explain it that well actually right now.

to answer your question, the number highly varies everyyear and depends on the quality of the applicants too.

well on average... do they defer a lot of kids?

I talked to one of the admissions people, and they told me this year they specifically decided to cut down on the deferred students, and only picked kids who they actually believed have a chance. Therefore, the acceptance rate for deferred ED kids will be higher this year. Don't worry, I'm in the same boat as you, and I'm waiiiiting ;)
