I don’t know where I stand because half my friends were deferred and half admitted! All information about deferred studente will help. Thanks
Lol I got in and my scores and extracurriculars are like nothing compared to yours. I hope you get in. What I’m hearing is that since out of state kids pay more tuition, Bing is more likely to accept out of state students for the money. Its unfair but that’s how it works. So if you are in the NY area, it will be more competitive to get in.
I think you’ll get in. It is weird how you got deferred to be honest… Your stats and extracurriculars seem fine. I don’t understand what’s wrong with admissions. My friend also got deferred and had roughly a 23 ACT (Ouch-I know), so you’ll probably stand out more than a lot of other applicants.
thanks so much for your positive words but i got waitlisted how annoying! lol
I’m really sorry to hear that you were deferred! SoM is pretty competitive and I hate to say but sometimes they take oos students with weaker stats. Do you go to a high school that sends a lot of students to bing? That might also be a factor. Anyway with your stats you can probably get into any number of good programs.
One thing to add though, if they offer you a spot that Harpur, just remember that you probably will not be able to switch to SoM. So if you are dead set on business that’s really something to consider.
