Do you know when the deferred people from the rolling schools usually hear? When did the defer-then admitted rd people hear by(anyone know from last year)?

I think they heard April 1st online. Be strong, decisions are almost here.

Word, I think they get some type of SICK ENJOYMENT out of making deferred people sweat Cornell and wait till the last second!!

hey you guys. i was deferred last year to cals. i found out on april 1st... or something like that. the website was nuts though so it took a while. i got a two-year guaranteed transfer. i'm applying as a sophomore tho... so we'll see..... being deferred really sucks... i remember it well.... anyway, good luck to you all.

Josiedog: What are the details of this guaranteed transfer? Did you have to go to a specific college for 2 years? I have a feeling I may be offered this. Thanks.

Also, what courses did you need to take as a foundation?

They don't really care what college you go to. I'm at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania... it's liberal arts, and a really great school. i've made a ton of friends and had a great first year of college... however, the science program is not what i want at all... which is why i'm applying as a sophomore. I was pretty ****ed off when i got the 2year transfer, but i figure at least i'll be there in the end and graduate with a degree from cornell. they also offer one-year transfers. my recommendation is to go to a school that has a program that is really similar to the one you will be in at cornell. I am pre-veterinary... animal science major. going to a liberal arts school was not a smart choice since they don't even have an animal science major. Choose a school where you can take courses that are very similar in nature to cornell's. The courses you need to take as a foundation are dependant on what your intended major is.... they don't have a ton of requirements, just the bare bones.. like for me it was two frosh writing seminars, intro chem, organic chem, intro bio, math etc. no big deal really. good luck!

Thanks a lot for the help.
