Deferred from Columbia, a chance somewhere else?

<p>Hey I'm just trying to sort everything out, I was recently deferred from Columbia College, and i wanna make sure that I can get in somewhere else!</p>

<p>Grades : All A's and A+'s except for two B's my freshman year
Tests : SATS (Math-670, Writing-680, Reading-790)
SAT II's (US history-770, Literature-720)
ACTs (with writing) comp 31
AP tests- Latin Vergil 5, US History 5</p>

Volunteered for 6 weeks builidng houses in Oregon
Volunteered at charity thrift shop
Finalist for New Jersey Governor School for Creative Writing</p>

<p>What chance do you think i have at barnard, nyu, cornell, or FIT (fashion institute of technology) PLEASE HELP!!!</p>

<p>I think you have good chances at Barnard and NYU, and OK chances at Cornell. For FIT, I suppose the quality of your portfolio will be important... but why would you want to go there when your academics are so strong?</p>

<p>I agree with Greennblue-in at Barnard and NYU, maybe at Cornell, in at FIT. I really don't think that you have a problem.</p>
