Deferred from Cornell, chances at other colleges?

Naviance for Cornell: The average admitted weighted GPA is a 3.67, average SAT is a 2000, sample size of 49 apps.

A big problem is the small sample size given the size of my school…I worry the scattergrams could be misleading. Also I know a lot of schools have gotten significantly harder to get into.

In regards to only Cornell, I’m a little surprised that you got deferred. Your numbers seem to be above average for that college, but it really all depends on which of the seven schools within Cornell you were applying to. If you expand on that, then people may be able to give you more info about what wasn’t perfect. It might also show you how to shore up weaknesses for your other applications.

good luck with you apps

I think you could get into one of the harder schools to get into depending on the essays and reccs. but I’m sure you’ll get into NYU. Chance back?
