Essay and Counselor/Teacher recs: very good, essay talks about my growth as a basketball player my first year on varsity. counselor told me that i didnt need to revise it at all.

will my increase in GPA help me for Nova? I sent mid-year transcripts to Nova. Thanks

I’ve read alot on this site, most people that send letters reaffirming a college as their top choice usually get in after being deffered/waitlisted

doesnt it suck getting deferred. makes you second guess yourself (i was deferred too). you should be fine for nova RD. the strongest part of your app is the course selection, despite your “low” gpa, which isnt really low. based on that and your EC’s i’d say your a good fit

as a current student, i think you are pretty competitive rd…my stats were very similar to yours, and i got in rd…nova has become a bit more competitive since when i applied, but i think youre in no sweat, just wait a few more weeks, its worth it

are you a business student? thanks for the reassurance. the first part is getting in, then i have to worry about finances. i qualify for quite a bit of aid (my federal aid is like 12,100 or something, 4400 from pell grant) so hopefully if i do get in, nova gives me a nice need-based grant. on the website, it says the average grant is 22k, so hopefully i can get more if i get in.

ahh im dying to know a decision! so many kids at my school keep asking me if i got in or not since they all know i LOVE this school…maybe a lil too much haha, so i hope i get in & i hope you do too! :)
