I was deferred from msu.
I have a 3.25 weighted GPA,
~3.12 unweighted GPA,
am currently taking 2 AP classes, Chem and French,
26 on the ACT (took twice, same score both times)
I'm kind of low in my class (I come from a very prestigious school, we send about 20% of students to U of M, several to Notre Dame, and usually 3 or 4 to ivy league schools (only 140 in my class))
Also, My schedule for next semester is (Econ, AP Chem, AP french, Regular senior English, Religion 12 (catholic school forces me.), Trig/Math topics (regular level class) and teacher assistant.

What do you think the chance of me getting into msu are?

Also, recently (today) I was told by an admin at our schoo that i prollly wouldnt get in, cuz she says they want a 3.5 or higher for the 7th semester. idk if this is true, but should i have them send a letter? if so, should i send one to? sorry about poor english/ grammar, im on my ipod.
My lette rwould prolly be how i started a job the week school started so i could pay for school, amd how in the 2nd qtr high school bowloing syarted, so i was bowling working in school and taking care of my grandma with decreasing health. and was still able to pull up my 2.8 from 1st qtr to a 3.2 overall.
also, i forgot to put ANY ec’s on my app, you think i should mention them in a letter?

I have a 3.42 unweighted GPA, 27 ACT, and not that strong a schedule, like at all. And I was accepted by MSU literally FOUR days after I submitted my application online back in like, late November or something.

^^^
wallyk, I have the EXACT same stats (no joke) as you, and i was accepted about 2-3 months after i submitted my app. my class rank is pretty low (55%), so i guess it just depends on the school. you’ll probably get in, although you might want to try making your senior GPA higher…
