<p>Wow, just wow. Tulane has been known to defer students with excellent credentials like you, mainly because it looks excellent on the admissions records. They might have also gotten the feeling that you would only consider Tulane a safety, given your excellent app, and therefore didn’t want to waste a spot on a student who is more likely to attend an even more prestigious school then them. I’d suggest showing them that you are truly interested. Maybe email your Tulane admissions rep and let him know that you got deferred and attach a ‘why Tulane’ essay. You definitely have good chances at even more prestigious school, even at some ivies.</p>
