Okay I am freaking out. I submitted my application, and now so many things are running through my head that I feel like I should have included. I'm so sad. Future reference to anyone else: Take your time, seriously. And even if the school isn't your first choice, fill out the application like it is. Stuff happens.

That being said. I feel like my GPA was the reason I didn't get admitted early. I recalculated my GPA and to UGA's standards it's a 3.36......

I look 10 ap classes (Calc, lang, bio, chem, physics, world history, it goes on). The rest were honors/gifted. I've taken one "cp/regular class", and it was my science elective astronomy. I did fairly well. Mainly A's some B's. But somehow my GPA is still a 3.36. On my transcript it's a 3.77, but that doesn't help.

My SAT (which I should have taken more than once) was submitted as a composite score of 1840....eh.
CR:580
MA:660
WR:600

Lots of extracurriculars (music, sports etc), volunteer work, and 2 jobs for work experience. I even had an engineering internship to include.

That being said, I was not admitted. Now I'm up all night wondering how my application could be better. I sent in my essays. I hope they were good enough. But, I just don't know. Does anyone know if I stand a chance. Or does anyone think I am shoe in? Now I realize I could have totally included more...oh well...

You could take the SAT again. Call them and tell them it’s your first choice; ask if an interview or writing a letter expressing interest would help. Good luck.

Dont worry, you were deferred which means you weren’t flat out rejected. There is obviously something they like enough about you to keep you in the running. Your GPA is a little low sure, and you could probably do better on the SAT but your ECs should really help you stand out.
