I got deferred from Wharton ED. here’s my question: The letter said that 15% of deferred applicants get accepted. Does anyone know what the numbers are specifically for Wharton? Thanks.

Congrats to those who got in!!

really?!?! it said that?? it didn't say anything on mine o.O

its under FAQ's..
sorry about the deferral.. im in the same boat..

ohhhhh i see it now haha. how do you know which school deferred/rejected you? like the letter didn't say anything about beign deferred/rejected from huntsman or wharton--it just said deferred in general. i'm confused hahaha

yeah, I feel kinda weird about the deferral too. I'm trying to find out how many applicants got into Wharton to see what chances are regular decision.

ya, i was deferred too, i think if i raise my SAT score and then engage my master plan, i shall have a chance

i was deferred from wharton too

and my midyear isnt going to be so hot so its basically over for me

Well, I understand that this year, there were over 4000 applicants, and in years past, they usually accepted 1/3, deferred 1/3, and denied 1/3. I'm under the impression that deferals rose in place of a decline in acceptances for the ED round (Note: this is only my conjecture from what Penn students have inferred and from what I have just picked up). So approximately how many do you feel have been deferred (by numbers, not percentages)? Do you think the acceptance rate for deferees will be greater or around the same come spring time?

I have also read that the acceptances for deferrees is approximately 15%. Do you think that percentage is significantly higher for CAS (and is mostly offset by Wharton deferred applicants)? In this, I mean significant being more than 5%.

I have been deffered also!

Should we retake the SAT if we have a low grade?

I'm with you breakordeath. Senioritis struck early and my straight 4.0s got kicked down to a 3.5. That should be it

should we retake the SAT?

i was rejected... i was expecting it, but still.. you know.
