Most of my friends who were deferred claim to be over it and excited about someplace new..... NOT ME
I still want to go to Penn.... I feel like I am setting my self up for double rejection.
Sorry to be whinney but.... is this really happening to me?

thought some of you could relate.
feel free to ignore me.
I am just very frustrated.

From both the ED applicant and enrolled student's perspective, I feel that there are two perceptions of Penn.

The Utopia like conception that at Penn, students enjoy unlimited fountains of Nattie Light, Aristotlian Brilliance and Prestige, and virgins matching the comeuppance of a suicide bomber

and

The realistic like fruition of Penn as a wonderful great place to be in addition to the struggles and unpleasantries involved with competition, ****ty weather, bums, tests, and bichis.

Having been in your places, I know that not having attended Penn all I could focus on were the titles and prestige, but its a balance of awesomeness and reality, and I feel like if you realize that Penn is just another great college in America that happens to be 'arbitrarily' ranked high by the cabals at USNWR, that ought to make things better.

For everyone else still applying: Penn is a good college...I swear

i think i will be in the same situation in a year
but dont lose hope
seriously
and if you dont' get in
u will get in a great school
and u will love it
and in a few years you won't care =)
i'm serious
it's cliche but it's true
believe it
