Deferred information

Curious about those who were deferred last year from UPenn ( 2005 ) and were accepted regular decision. What were your stats? I am especially interested in Stern students. Thanks

umm, you mean Wharton? Stern is NYU.

Lol............

Yes, I meant Wharton.

i was deferred, NOT accepted RD

however, RD, i got into Cornell, Northwestern, Rice, U of Chicago, Duke, and JHU, and Emory

bball87- which school did you pick, because I was deferred and applied to most of those

i picked Cornell on a whim, and i regreted it for a while, but i made a good decision

i was also chosen as a cornell presidential research scholar, that swayed my decision

bball 87, after being deferred, did you send in extra stuff, write a letter, etc.? I am wondering if all of that makes any difference at all. Thanks for your sincerity.

i did send a letter to reaffirm my interest, and i won a pretty significant national award, and that didn't do much

I know a kid who got deferred/accepted last year to CAS. I don't know of anything extra he sent, but this kid is practically the pride and joy of my town.

Oh oops, I meant to type his stats.

rank: 2/550
SATS: really freaking high.
ECs: I forgot what they were but I remember that they were awesome.
recs: amazing, everyone in my school thinks he's a godsend
essay: according to my English teacher, who read it AFTER he got deferred, it needed a lot of work
